All participants will be required to sign a motorcycle safety course waiver and indemnification form. If under 18 years old, this form must also be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Registrations are accepted on a First Come First Served basis. The first paid and enrolled will be guaranteed a spot in the class. Welcome to the Ride Motorcycle Safety Foundation Experienced Rider Course – with license waiver (ERCLW) $150.00 This course is designed for those experienced riders who possess basic operational skills and are riding on a permit. The Experienced Rider Course is a one-day workshop designed to improve your skills in braking, evasive maneuvers and turning. It provides the experienced motorcyclist with "street strategies" necessary for survival. And you do it on your motorcycle. If you are not yet licensed to operate a motorcycle, then upon successful completion, you will be eligible to obtain your Georgia Class M motorcycle license without any further testing. To be eligible for this course, you must possess a Georgia class MP (motorcycle permit). (Click here to download the registration form) 8 am - 6 pm Motorcycle Safety Foundation Experienced Rider Course – Skills Practice (ERCSP) $125.00 Even if you've been riding for some time, there's always something new to learn. Increasing numbers of seasoned riders are attending Experienced Courses to hone their skills and fine-tune the mental skills needed for survival in traffic. The Experienced Rider Course is a one-day workshop designed to improve your skills in braking, evasive maneuvers and turning. It provides the experienced motorcyclist with "street strategies" necessary for survival. And you do it on your motorcycle. To be eligible for this course you must possess a valid motorcycle operator’s license. (Click here to download the registration form) 8 am - 6 pm For all ERC courses, the student will provide a safe, street ready insured motorcycle, plus the following protective equipment: · DOT approved helmet · Eye protection · Full finger gloves · Long sleeve shirt or jacket · Long pants · Over the ankle boots Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course – with license waiver $250.00 In this course, you'll learn how to operate a motorcycle safely, with emphasis on the special skills and mental attitudes necessary for dealing with traffic. Certified Rider Coaches will start you off with straight-line riding, turning, shifting and stopping. You'll gradually progress to cornering, swerving and emergency braking. In the classroom you'll learn about the different types of motorcycles, their characteristics, and how they operate. The Coaches, all experienced motorcyclists, will advise you on what to wear for comfort, visibility and protection. You'll find out how alcohol and other drugs affect your ability to ride safely. A very important segment of the course will show you how to create your own strategy for riding in traffic, and how to deal with critical situations. The course concludes with a knowledge test and an on-cycle skill evaluation. The Basic Course requires no experience and we provide a motorcycle and helmet for you to use. You must bring eye protection, long pants, long sleeve shirt, full finger gloves, and over the ankle boots.
