Creating safer roads, one driver at a time.

A message from Donnell Jones, President/Owner:

A sincere THANK YOU to the many  who have supported our efforts to provide a quality  Driver Education service to all drivers of the CSRA .Since 2004 our  goal as remained the same, help reduce the  high number of   traffic deaths and collisions , especially among our teen drivers. Properly educating those future drivers and enhancing the skills of the older drivers will help us reach our desired level of achievement. We remain vigilant for the latest information concerning safe driving for all drivers and continuing our membership with ATSEA goes a long way in making that happen. The American Driver and Traffic Education Association is a national voice for driver education teachers working to determine what is important on the highways today. Federal, State legislators, hears ADTSEA’S strong and unified voice along with automotive industry leaders all help formulate ways to reduced deaths for those behind the wheel .As always our major focus is the young inexperience driver, the most vulnerable on the road today and the following numbers show the reality of ours concerns.

1. Auto accidents are the #1 cause of death for people between the ages of 15 and 20.

2. 82 percent of FATAL CRASHES involving 16 year old drivers are the result of “Driver Error”.

3. 62 percent of all passenger fatalities occur while a teenager driver is behind the wheel.

4. 37 percent of fatal accidents involving 16-year-old drivers are due to speeding.

Finally, about two-thirds of the teens killed in auto accidents in 2003 were not wearing seatbelts.

As a result, we feel the following program along with Driver Education will help reduce those numbers, so this year with renewed vigor we continue to support the Georgia Teens Ride with P.R.I.D.E.  Program.  P.R.I.D.E. stands for PARENTS REDUCING INCIDENTS OF DRIVER ERROR, sponsored by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) and administered by   The Georgia Traffic Prevention Institute (GTIPI). This is a behavioral-base program rather than hands on approach to driving and focuses on the driving process before the actual permit process begins.  We offer this class at no charge and it only last two hours. A fitting motto “IS TWO HOURS OF YOUR TIME worth your CHILDS LIFE, we say yes.

Starting as an instructor, I then decided to become a Master Trainer for this program hoping to bring others in to help bring more classes and information to this area in the coming months. We are sure the program will be important links in helping Driver Education reduce those high crash numbers in the State of Georgia.

According to the National Safety Council, “driving is the most dangerous activity that many of us do on an everyday basis”. Far too many times, we take the everyday event of driving for granted, and often it can turn into tragedy. We want to help

Give us a call or come by and see the difference, at Jones Driver Education, we create safe drivers, one driver at a time.
